Sustainable Weddings

How I’m Making Weddings More Sustainable as a DJ

When you picture a wedding DJ, ‘eco-friendly’ might not be the first thing that comes to mind. After all, my equipment needs power, I travel between venues, and the party is all about energy. But I believe that unforgettable weddings and sustainability can go hand in hand. Here’s how I’m making sure my business does its bit for the planet, while still keeping the dancefloor full.

1. Smarter Meetings, Less Travel

Instead of multiple in-person meetings, I offer couples Zoom calls. It saves everyone time, reduces travel, and keeps planning simple. Less fuel, less hassle , and the same personal connection.

2. Paperless Planning

I’ve swapped printed brochures and song lists for a fully digital approach. My couples get an online brochure, and all music planning is done through Vibo. It’s streamlined, eco-friendly, and means no more wasted paper.

3. Energy-Efficient Equipment

My setup is built with sustainability in mind:

  • LED uplighters that use a fraction of the power of traditional lights.
  • Reusable props for my photo booth (no single-use throwaways).
  • Smarter power use on site, so nothing is left running unnecessarily.

4. Giving Back: Planting 100 Trees a Year

Every year, I support Just One Tree by planting 100 trees. It’s my way of offsetting travel and event energy use, while contributing to global reforestation projects.

5. Looking Ahead

This is just the start. My long-term goal is to:

  • Move to a fully electric vehicle for all travel.
  • Switch to battery-powered speakers and gear where possible.

The technology is improving all the time, and I’m committed to making those changes as soon as they become viable for weddings.

Why It Matters

More couples are looking for suppliers who align with their values , and sustainability is a big part of that. By choosing eco-conscious suppliers, you’re not just planning a wedding, you’re helping shape the future.
For me, it’s simple: I want to create unforgettable celebrations while respecting the world we live in. Packed dancefloors today, greener weddings tomorrow.
