Set across 27 acres of gardens, this beautiful venue aims to make sure you have your dream wedding, promising to make it as individual as you are! I’m Mike Readings, an award-winning Hertfordshire wedding DJ and entertainer, and today I am going to share why Fanhams Hall is a fantastic option for your wedding day.
Fanhams Hall has two sides the venue: contemporary or traditional. This Grade II listed building strikes a perfect balance between grand character features and an informal vibe. If elegant, yet quirky is something that appeals to you, make sure to visit Fanhams Hall!

The important stuff
Choose from contemporary or traditional for your ceremony, or opt for an outdoor wedding on the Gazebo Lawns or Japanese Tea House for your big day. All options are licensed for civil ceremonies/partnerships and can accommodate up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast. Once you are ready to party, Fanhams Hall can hold up to 200 evening guests, meaning you can celebrate in serious style!
The turn around
The size of this venue is fantastic when it comes to allowing your evening suppliers to set up, meaning I can easily get ready without you even knowing it’s happening! Your wedding coordinator and the rest of the staff are dedicated, professional and helpful, making sure everything runs smoothly for your wedding day.

The Evening
An evening reception at Fanhams Hall is brilliant, in particular, the shape of the Great Hall creates a perfect party space, especially once I have set up some lights! Another fantastic plus for this venue is you can party ‘til midnight or extend until 1AM (just chat with your wedding coordinator about this option). Opportunity for lots of time to celebrate with your family and friends! Once the party is over at midnight (or 1AM the latest), the venue is flexible for me and other suppliers to pack up that evening.
Overnight Accommodation
Fanhams Hall has an interesting mix of 77 bedrooms and signature rooms (their equivalent to a suite), perfect for you and your guests. Any guests that are not local can party without the worry of getting back home and instead stay in one of these wonderful rooms. After your big day, you can even stay for a minimoon and relax in the elegance of Fanhams Hall for a couple of days, including dinner and afternoon tea!
