With 250 acres of parkland, Knebworth House Barns offers a beautiful venue, perfect for your wedding photos. I’m Award-winning wedding DJ Mike Readings, and I believe Knebworth House Barns is a wonderful venue to have on your list!
With Knebworth House well known for concerts and festivals, it’s safe to say their events staff know what they’re doing, and your wedding is no exception! Despite being located just outside Stevenage, you quickly feel as though you are miles away from everyone once you arrive.

The important stuff
With four barns, the house, and the garden to choose from, along with the multiple layout options, you can find a space that works for your guest list. The largest barn can accommodate up to 180 guests for your ceremony and up to 300 guests for your evening reception.
Whether you opt for a traditional, rural looking aesthetic with the Manor or Lodge barn, or choose something more contemporary with the garden terrace, your guests will be in complete awe of your chosen venue.
The turn around
As the venue offers multiple barns/spaces for use, they know which ones work perfectly together when moving guests between spaces to allow for setting up for your wedding breakfast/evening reception. On a sunny day, you will have set hours you can roam the grounds, and nothing says luxury quite like a drinks reception overlooking the stunning formal gardens.
As you can expect, the event staff are comfortable turning around things with ease and to a strict schedule, so you can just relax and enjoy your day.

The Evening
Knebworth House Barns genuinely know how to put on a show and are happy to accommodate most requests. With a marquee available for hire, a dancefloor, and space for your DJ to set up, you can have the perfect party with your loved ones. If you want to up the party vibe, I can provide an LED dancefloor that really gets people up and dancing. If you want your wedding day to go with a bang, speak to the venue about outdoor fireworks!
Getting home
Knebworth House doesn’t have accommodation on-site. However, there is a Novotel just outside the grounds, which you and your guests can book (you will have a room as part of your package). One of the great things about Knebworth House’s location is its proximity to Stevenage. In just 15 short minutes, you can be at one of the many hotel options. Advise your guests to book their taxis beforehand to avoid waiting, then you can relax knowing everyone will be getting home safe and sound!
