Run by husband and wife team Matt and Kay, The Barn started its wedding journey in 2017 and hasn’t looked back. The barn has access to the huge stunning private gardens of Alswick Hall, meaning your wedding photos are both unique and beautiful!

The important stuff
The Barn at Alswick sits in the beautiful rural Hertfordshire, offering up to 120 guests for your seated ceremony and up to 200 for your evening reception. Despite its rural location, The Barn is wheelchair accessible, and pet-friendly meaning it is ideal for all guests.
This lovingly restored barn provides a beautiful blank canvas for you to create your dream wedding, with rustic features throughout.
The turn around
As there are many different spaces at The Barn at Alswick, the venue can efficiently juggle your suppliers arriving whilst entertaining your guests in another area of the venue. Your ceremony can be held anytime throughout the day, giving you complete flexibility for your wedding day, meaning you and the venue staff can ensure everything happens smoothly. With ample private gardens, your guests will be too busy taking photographs to notice the turnaround.

The Evening
The venue’s dedicated team guarantee your evening reception will go off without a hitch, making sure you can party the night away with your family and friends while overlooking the beautiful countryside. With a bar that is licensed to run until midnight, an onsite sound system and space for a dancefloor, your evening will be just as wonderful as your day at The Barn at Alswick.
Glamping and more
The Barn at Alswick doesn’t skimp on the accommodation, offering nine bedrooms along with a bridal suite. For up to 22 of your other guests, they can choose to glamp on site! Glamping allows you to sleep under the starry night, with amenities such as USB charging, heated tents and a shower block. Your guests will wake up to the beautiful, peaceful countryside and a yummy continental breakfast.
